The tamanu is a majestic tree originating from the shores of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It was revered by the Polynesians who used it to sculpt sacred objects, and an emerald green oil is obtained from the nut with recognised healing, disinfectant and anti-inflammatory benefits.
