The power of plants
This large yellowy-white, gnarled root from Northeast Asia is known by various poetic names, including “root of heaven”, “promise of eternal life” and “flower of life”, due to its many therapeutic properties. Its story started a very long time ago in China, around 3000 B.C., when the Emperor Chen-Nong, the founder of agriculture and specialist in medicinal plants, chose ginseng as the “heavenly” plant and made a precious elixir from it, reserved solely for the Emperors. Famous for thousands of years for its many benefits, ginseng root is traditionally used as a tonic. Red ginseng, an adaptogenic plant, draws on the natural mechanisms of resistance to strengthen the body against external aggressors (hunger, stress, extreme temperatures, overwork). Used for centuries in traditional medicine, it is renowned for its revitalizing and invigorating properties.
Skincare benefits of Organic red ginseng extract
Organic red ginseng extract is traditionally used as a tonic. It helps maintain the balance and proper functioning of mitochondria, the powerhouses of cells, by ensuring optimal quality control. This process is essential to supply the energy necessary to the proper functioning of skin cells, allowing them to better regenerate and form a dynamic and effective skin barrier. The extract also helps to increase mitochondrial oxygen consumption and stimulate cell respiration, essential to extracting energy from organic molecules.
Responsible sourcing
Our organic red ginseng extract is grown in China in accordance with organic farming principles, without chemical inputs or pesticide. The growing area is located in the Jilin province, in a secluded spot surrounded by fir trees. In addition, fir roots are planted alongside the ginseng to replenish the vegetation following the harvest.
