Protection

The power of plants

Originally from India, the mango tree is grown in all tropical areas, mainly for its fruit. Intense exposure to UV rays develops a powerful cocktail of antioxidant molecules in the leaves of this tropical tree, protecting them from UV rays. Before reaching maturity, the leaves are particularly concentrated in these molecules which are extracted to create our key ingredient. The process involves the collection of young and intermediate leaves, mainly during the rainy season, from December to April, when they are most abundant.

Skincare benefits of Organic mango leaf extract

In cosmetics, organic mango leaf extract helps to protect skin against environmental aggressions. Organic mango leaf extract helps to protect keratinocytes from oxidative stress caused by environmental aggressors such as UV rays and pollution, reducing reactive oxygen species.

Responsible sourcing

Our mango leaf is grown in accordance with organic farming principles, meaning without chemical inputs or pesticide. A sustainable partnership has been established with our partner which makes it a Clarins exemplary supply channel. The leaves are hand-picked and dried naturally. Our partner works alongside a local association comprised mainly of women. Their work with the association allows them to diversify their sources of income.
