The power of science
Hyaluronic acid is a so-called "sponge molecule" capable of holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water. It is essential for the healthy functioning of the body and in particular for hydration of the skin. Acetylated hyaluronic acid is a type of hyaluronic acid with the particularity of having better penetration of the skin and better resistance to hyaluronidase (an enzyme which breaks down hyaluronic acid) compared to regular hyaluronic acid. Thanks to the acetylation of the hyaluronic acid, it has a 13 times longer lifespan and so provides its benefits over a much longer period of time before being degraded.
